Quilled Dollhouse: Bedroom

Welcome to my journey through creating a quilled dollhouse!

I decided to start this project without any real inspiration, since quilled dollhouses aren't exactly a thing.

It has been quite the undertaking, but a lot of fun too!

I started off with this cute wire doll bed that I found a photo of on Pinterest, and decided that I thought I could recreate it with paper:

This is what I ended up with!

It wasn't bad, but I could definitely see ways to improve it.
And most importantly, it ended up WAY to big to use in the frame I had picked out.

And yes, it took me 1 1/2 hours, but it was definitely worth it in the end. 😁

I then got to work on re-creating it in a smaller version!
This is the either the headboard or footboard, (I can't remember which) and it was almost exactly one square inch!

To give you a better idea of how big it is, here it is next to the original one I made:

This one also took me 1 1/2 hours, but that's because I had to do a lot of the work with tweezers since it was SOOOO tiny.

See, isn't it so cute?!?

Next, without any inspiration photos at all, I created this ADORABLE bookshelf!
Originally, I made it so the books could open, but that felt a teensy bit like too much since I going to glue them in.
I also made a teeny clock, picture frame and plant for on it!

I decided to create a dresser for the bedroom as well.
This was my inspo:

I found it on Pinterest, and its some dollhouse furniture sold by a company.

I decided to recreate it in quilling form!
I did add some foil later on, so the mirror is reflective, but I never got around to taking a photo of that.

Next, I whipped out a bedside table.
Not my best work, but (before I glued it) the drawer opened!

I neglected to get a photo of just the chair and the bench, but I did make those as well.
Here is all of my creations at this point, with a ruler for size reference!

I'd probably put in about 10+ hours in at this point, over the course of two days.

Next, I decided that I needed to make a ceiling fan for my bedroom.
Here is the inspo I found for it:

And here is mine!
Ignore the chaos in the background of this photo...quilling is messy work! 😂

Here is the finished look!
I added a bulletin type board in the back, and some small picture frames on the wall behind the bed. Plus, a piece of yellow paper to be the carpet:

And that's where I'll leave off with the bedroom!

Oh, and a quick note:
I created the floors and walls myself out of paper. The floors are hand drawn on brown paper with a fine-tip brown sharpie.
